Below we outline the dress code when visiting Kingsthorpe Golf Club.
Please do follow the rules below, as we don’t wish to prevent anybody from enjoying what our course and club house has to offer!
ON THE COURSE
Men
Acceptable
✅ Recognised smart and conventional golf attire.
✅ Tailored shorts, cut above the knee.
✅ Sports ankle socks.
✅ Collarless shirts designed specifically for golf.
✅ Hoodies designed specifically as golf apparel.
✅ Joggers designed specifically as golf apparel.
✅ Shirts must always be tucked into trousers or shorts.
✅ Golf headwear, including golf caps must be worn with the visor forward.
✅ Golf shoes specifically designed for the activity of golf.
Men
Unacceptable
❌ Denim wear.
❌ Cargo or combat trousers or shorts which have pockets on the legs.
❌ Track suits.
❌ Jogging bottoms not specifically designed as golf apparel.
❌ Sleeveless or collarless shirts with non-golf branded logos or slogans.
❌ Hoodies not designed specifically as golf apparel.
❌ Training shoes.
❌ Flip flops.
❌ Beach wear.
Ladies
Acceptable
✅ Recognised smart and conventional golf attire.
✅ Recognised golf tops with collar / with or without sleeves.
✅ Collarless shirts designed specifically for golf.
✅ Ladies may wear shirts outside their trousers if they are designed to do so.
✅ Golf headwear, including golf caps must be worn with the visor forward.
Ladies
Unacceptable
❌ Denim wear.
❌ Track suits.
❌ Jogging suits not specifically designed as golf apparel.
❌ Any garments with indiscreet slogans or logos.
❌ Training shoes.
❌ Beach wear / beach flip flops.
IN THE CLUB HOUSE
In addition to the above, please note the following may not be worn in any area of the Clubhouse.
❌ Golf / baseball hats
❌ Golf Shoes
❌ Wet clothing or waterproofs
Also in the Clubhouse, members and visitors are expected to be smartly and appropriately dressed.
Smart denim jeans with trainers are acceptable, for formal events gentlemen may be asked to wear a jacket and tie. Notification will be give on these occasions.
PRIVATE FUNCTIONS
If the clubhouse has been hired, smart casual, including jeans is acceptable.
