Founded in 1908, Kingsthorpe Golf Club is a friendly and historic club set in the heart of Northampton.
Our traditional parkland course offers an enjoyable test for golfers of all levels. While we continue to invest in course improvements, what sets Kingsthorpe apart is the warm, inclusive atmosphere and strong community spirit that runs throughout the club.
We’re a proud members’ club, but we also welcome visitors, Pay & Play golfers, and societies all year round. A range of packages is available to suit every type of golfer.
At the heart of the club is our modern clubhouse – a great place to relax before or after your round. With quality food, a well-stocked bar, and views over the 18th green, it’s a popular spot for members and guests alike.

The Course

⛳ Friday Winter Opens 2026 – January Event
We’re excited that in just over three weeks, we’ll be hosting the first competition of our Winter Opens series at Kingsthorpe Golf Club.
Tee times for Friday, 30 January, are already filling up nicely, but there are still a few final slots available for anyone who hasn't entered yet.
It’s an excellent opportunity to enjoy some competitive winter golf in a relaxed setting, with cash prizes and great value entry for both members and visitors.

🍽️ Sunday Lunch returns to Kingsthorpe
We’re delighted to kick off our Sunday Lunch season with the first date of the year on Sunday 18 January, freshly prepared by Fairways Catering Co. and served in the clubhouse.
Expect a proper winter Sunday lunch with a choice of starters, classic roasts and seasonal dishes, followed by indulgent desserts, all served with roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables.

CLUB HOUSE HIRE FOR FUNCTIONS
The club house and facilities enable us to successfully stage all manner of social events, ranging from Corporate days to regular Sunday Lunches. We regularly organise Anniversary Parties, New year Celebrations, Drinks Receptions and Club Dinners.
What is SafeGolf?
SafeGolf is a partnership of UK golf bodies committed to promoting a safe and positive environment for all those participating, working and volunteering in the sport of golf.
SafeGolf consists of members from the golfing bodies across Great Britain & Ireland and has been established to help golf respond to the issue of child protection in sport. Its mission is to safeguard the welfare of children and young people, as well as adults at risk, in the sport of golf. This will be achieved through a unique partnership which has the ability to influence and act as advocate for safeguarding across the golfing landscape, developing a consistent approach towards ensuring that all people have a fun, safe and positive experience when playing golf.
Members of SafeGolf include; England Golf, Wales Golf, Scottish Golf, Confederation of Golf in Ireland, The Professional Golfers’ Association, Ladies European Tour, The Golf Foundation, Golf Club Managers’ Association, the British and International Golf Greenkeepers Association and The R&A.
